The Nepalese market will soon witness the debut of the BYD Seal pure electric sedan, which will be offered in three variants: Dynamic (Standard Range), Premium (Extended Range), and Performance (All-Wheel-Drive).
The base model for the Seal in Nepal will be the Dynamic RWD, equipped with a 61.4 kWh LFP Blade battery powering a single 150 kW electric motor, providing a range of up to 460 km (WLTP). Joining this variant will be the Premium RWD, featuring a larger 82.5 kWh LFP Blade battery, claiming a range of 570 km (WLTP), and a 230 kW rear-mounted motor. The top-tier AWD Performance variant boasts the same 82.5 kWh battery, dual motors for all-wheel-drive, a combined 390 kW, and a range of up to 520 km (WLTP).
The BYD Seal accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 7.5 seconds and supports maximum AC charging (Type 2) of 7 kW, along with DC fast charging (CCS 2) at a maximum rate of 110 kW. Under fast charging, the battery can be replenished from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes. Additionally, it features Vehicle to Load (V2L) functionality.
Measuring 4800mm in length, 1875mm in width, and 1460mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2920 mm, the BYD Seal has a front trunk capacity of 50 litres and a rear trunk capacity of 400 litres. It rides on 18-inch/19-inch wheels, depending on the variant, and utilizes the e-Platform 3.0.
On the exterior, the BYD Seal boasts an elaborate design, emphasizing its dynamic fastback shape. Moving to the interior, the minimalist design is complemented by features like a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch rotatable central control screen, and a W-HUD (head-up display). The vehicle operating system is derived from BYD’s DiLink 5.0 system, coupled with the DiPilot advanced driving assistance system.
We even had the opportunity to test drive the BYD Seal at the Zhuhai International Circuit in China last year. To delve into our exhilarating experience, you can find more details by clicking here.
